Subdomains are useful for both users and website administrators.
Imagine you have a WordPress website and want to add an online store to it. While WordPress has plugins that allow you to add e-commerce functionality, you might consider it better to use a specialized platform such as Magento or PrestaShop.
These two systems cannot work in the same folder, so it's better to create a shop.yourdomain.ge subdomain and host your online store there. This way, managing both platforms becomes much easier.
While these functions can also be performed using subdirectories (for example, yourdomain.ge/shop or yourdomain.ge/fr), and some SEO experts consider this method more effective for search engines, subdomains are still frequently used to simplify website structure and management.
Creating a Subdomain in Control Panel
Adding a subdomain is very simple and requires only a few clicks.
Log into the control panel and go to the Subdomains section.

A dropdown menu will appear, showing your primary and additional (Addon) domains. Select the desired domain and specify the subdomain name. Subdomains can contain letters, numbers, and hyphens (-).
You also need to choose the folder where the subdomain files will be stored. By default, the control panel automatically creates a new folder in the user's home directory, but you can manually specify your own folder or existing directory.

When you're finished, click "Add Domain" and the subdomain will be created.
